Description
One of our suppliers gave us the opportunity to stock beautiful strap buttons in BONE, EBONY, HORN AND ROSEWOOD. There is a lot of controversy about the use of a strap button–they are made to be screwed into either the bottom of the heel of the guitar or somewhere along the side of the heel. They do not give you the pull on the head stock of the guitar the way a strap attached there would. And somehow, for me, it feels to me like you have more control over the neck.
We would suggest if you do want to install one on your instrument, that you have a luthier do it, as they will have done it before and have a better idea of where it should sit as well as the experience of having done it a few times!
They are slightly larger than our Faux Tortoise™ Shell Strap Buttons. These Strap Buttons are approximately .52 inches in diameter and .42 inches high. See the comparison picture.
They are available with either a Nickel or Brass screw [~1″ long] or as just the strap button.
