Description
About six or seven years ago, a group of players sat around my table in the booth at Frankfurt Musikmesse and talked about what picks are not available and that should be. It included Harry deJonge from Sacksioni Guitars in Amsterdam, Woody Mann, Eberhard Kerker, Chris Kerker and Karl Broderix.
We came up with three shapes and called them the COWBOY™ Picks available as CHAPARRAL™ [on the left in the image], MESA™ [second from left in the image], PALOMINO™ [second from right] which are among the thinnest horn picks I know. Each of these picks have a “dimple” as you can see in the image.
Then I found one which was thinner and thought it was really interesting…a 1mm horn pick which was called [because of my immediate reaction to it] Holy Cow…boy Pick. They are available by the piece or by bag of 10. It is a “flat” pick on the far right of the picture
