One of the best things about Breezy Ridge is meeting the musicians who love and use our John Pearse® Strings! Meeting the family of Dorado Schmitt through the Stratta/Philips Django Festival in New York was a joy but, best of all, getting to hear them play is even better! It is so great to be able to provide products musicians love for making their music! Here is a photo I took of Dorado when he was last at Byrdland in NYC.
The current lineup of the Django Festival Allstars are Samson Schmitt on lead guitar, Ludovic Beier on accordion etc., Pierre Blanchard on violin, Franco Mehrstein on rhythm guitar, and Antonio Licusati on stand-up bass. Each of them is a master of their craft! They have been doing tours in the States every year for quite a while and have just released an album called Evolution. It is my honor to share a clip of their set at the San Francisco Jazz Festival and several reviews of Evolution. Enjoy!!!
